Some Kind of Wonderful
You are no doubt here because of the 1987 movie Some Kind of Wonderful. Written by John Hughes, directed by Howard Deutch, and starring Eric Stoltz, Mary Stuart Masterson and Lea Thompson. Given that this is a John Hughes production, it is surprising to find even after all these years, that this film is still an unknown amoung many. Even to those who lived through the 80's.
It has now become somewhat of a "Cable Classic". With new audiences often coming across it for the first time by accident, as they channel surf the late night cable TV screenings at two in the morning.
In our quest for the definitive guide to Some Kind of Wonderful, we have attempted to source, research and catalogue as much information about this movie as we could possibly find. It has taken us years to accumulate the information you see here, and this site is still a work in progress.

A short review of David Bischoff's novelisation of the movie is available in the novel section. The novel does reveal some interesting information, so if you want to know why Keith was in the club waiting for Amanda, the answer lies there.
The image gallery section now contains over 1500 images from the movie, complete with all scene dialogue. If you're looking for images from the movie, or you want to get that character's quote right, you'll find what you're looking for there.
The soundtrack section contains a breakdown of what song appears in what scene, and now contains the lyrics to all the songs. Recently included in this section are downloadable versions of the original music scores that feature in the film.
